It stirs a raw 'what if' in us and perhaps our reactions disappoint us. I guess maybe we have too much control over our lives and are reluctant to relinquish it. I think there has to be a wisdom to our actions too. Sometimes we can be sooo shortsighted and arrogant. What makes us think that if we offer someone a lift or invite them into our home that we are solving all their problems? I know that i am only hitting the tip of an iceberg with my housemate and sometimes worry that my selfishness puts my actions meant for good in a rewind motion. You were the hands and feet of Jesus in your work..all we can do after that is pray. You've already done the action, Let God do the rest.roast honeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16611390796857533529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109624643050974122.post-61475418235698118782007-08-14T12:15:00.000+01:002007-08-14T12:15:00.000+01:00So it's something about being human...it's somethi...So it's something about being human...
it's something about taking care with our words...
it's something about justice...
it's something about humility...
it's something about 'us', not 'us and them'...
it's something about poetry as protest...
it's something about trying to get it right...

may our radical become as natural as our breathing...not to dilute is potency, but rather to shed its label and distinctions.

Joy thank you for this, always pushing us on to look beyond...

hope this week brings strength and momentum to you
xSarah ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03542696324445188749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109624643050974122.post-74576563267341459212007-08-13T13:16:00.000+01:002007-08-13T13:16:00.000+01:00This is true...why do we then get so scared about ...This is true...why do we then get so scared about doing the radical (like taking a drunk home?). Is it dangerous? Of course! Could we get hurt (physically and spiritually)? Possibly. Is it what Jesus would do? Well I think so. We need to do something about this Joy...collectively as the people of God. We cannot leave this work up to the Mother Tereasa's of this world...but that thought scares the crap outta me.

Anyway, I'm just ranting. Good, thought provoking blog.

PeaceMolarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06826910527600096312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109624643050974122.post-29215104334895862652007-08-12T23:11:00.000+01:002007-08-12T23:11:00.000+01:00I can see a glass of red and a few hours spent dis...I can see a glass of red and a few hours spent discussing how we can be more radical..as friends we need to continually make sure that we don't just go along with the the easy life. love yaleanne savagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12913778557130306654noreply@blogger.com
